The African Elephant (1971)

In this exquisitely filmed documentary, director Simon Trevor tracks an African elephant from birth through the many seasons of the animal's long life. Actor David Wayne narrates, providing scores of intriguing details about the elephant world matriarchy and some peculiar aspects of pachyderm life. Also captured are other exotic creatures that inhabit the African ecosystem, including lions, chimps, giraffes and zebras.
