This video tells the story of American history in the twentieth century. Using original footage, it starts by showing life in 1900 - The Wild West, The Gold Rush and continues through the years to The Kennedys and much more. 'The American Dream' also shows the most notorious historic events - the persecution of the blacks. The Ku Klux Klan, the rise of The Mafia and The Kennedy Assassinations. Black Friday is also documented with The Wall Street Crash on October 24th 1929, when thousands of Americans lost their fortunes, the depression loomed, 12 million were unemployed, almost 25% of the population. All world shattering events are here, World War II, The Bay of Pigs, Castro, Vietnam and of course The Space Race, making 'The American Dream' compulsive viewing. - Actors:
