In this film we see Elizabeth working in her studios in Edinburgh on a series of paintings that illustrate her intuitive approach to her subjects, her originality and her acute sense of composition. Firstly she paints a large watercolour of tulips and irises. This is followed by paintings of buildings in Bologna and more flowers in a vase, both painted in oils. In addition, we see her working on a Japanese scroll and gain an insight into the Japanese influence on her work, throughout the world.
