The world's best male and female tennis players arrived in Melbourne in early 2012. With Federer enjoying a strong finish to the season and Nadal vowing to hit back with a vengeance, Djokovic s claim to the throne was under threat. Djokovic's came through a scintillating five-set semi-final against Andy Murray. He topped that effort with a Herculean performance in the final, defeating Nadal in a breathtaking five-setter that ended as the longest major final in history. The women played out their own exciting plotlines to further enrich a magnificent fortnight at Melbourne Park. Petra Kvitova, the pre-tournament favourite was snapping at the heels of world No.1 Caroline Wozniacki's reign, and threat to defending champion Kim Clijsters. However, it was rising star Victoria Azarenka who enjoyed a career-defining triumph over Clijsters, while Maria Sharapova upended Kvitova in similar circumstances. Azarenka went on to defeat Sharapova with confidence in the final. The Australian Open 2012 Official Film relives these exciting moments, and many more, in what will be remembered as one of the greatest Grand Slam tournaments in the sport's history. The Men's Final and Men's Semi-Final 2012 matches are available separately.
