Robin Hood (Russell Hicks) teams up with his son Robert (Cornel Wilde) to fight a new evil unleashed in England in this swashbuckling 1946 adventure classic! The tyranny of King John is long over and the Merry Men have disbanded to lead peaceful lives as free Englishmen. Now however the Lord Regent William of Pembroke (Henry Daniell) is planning to usurp the throne and rain bloody terror upon the land. Summoning his son Robert, Robin Hood once more calls his men together in Sherwood Forest to fight for England and justice. Providing shelter for the Queen Mother (Jill Esmond) and the beauteous Lady Catherine (Anita Louise), Robin and his son plan to unseat the new tyrant - but first they must rescue the young king from certain death in impregnable Nottingham Castle!
