Dorothy Paul is an all round entertainer - actress, singer and dancer but above all comedienne. She has starred in 'Taggart' and 'Rab C Nesbitt' but here at the Pavilion Theatre, Glasgow, she is at her best, telling jokes and having a bit of banter with the audience. Brought up in the East End of Glasgow, her characters are drawn from ordinary people and are based around observations of life in the city. Her one-woman shows start with the ubiquitous cleaning lady with her hairnet, who possesses two degrees but carries on working as a cleaner, and continue with tales about childhood, school, teatime with aunties, workmen, looking for work, family parties, football and much, much more - things that we can all relate to. For anyone who grew up or lives in Glasgow, has a fondness for the city or is looking for good classic humour.
