- Two veteran LAPD cops-hard-nosed alcoholic Sgt. A.M. Valnikov (Robert Foxworth) and female detective Sgt. Natalie Zimmerman (Paula Prentiss)-become reluctant partners-and willing lovers-in this comedic crime thriller from scripter Joseph Wambaugh ("The Onion Field").
