Kavi Raz writes and directs this biographical drama which tells the story of Maharajah Duleep Singh (Satinder Sartaaj), the last king of Punjab. After the annexation of the Punjab by the British in 1849, 10-year-old ruler Singh is placed in the care of British doctor John Login (Jason Flemyng) and eventually exiled to London. Forming a close bond with Queen Victoria (Amanda Root), Singh converts to Christianity and is given an annual pension and title. However, when he is allowed to meet his mother for the first time in years, Singh attempts to reconnect with his heritage and begins to question why the British took away the kingdom which was rightfully his.
