- "The Boy and the Beast" tell the story of Kyuta, a young orphan boy living on the streets. One day, Kyuta loses his way and stumbles into the world of beasts, where he meets Kumatetsu, a warrior beast in search of the perfect apprentice. Kyuta becomes his disciple and, after a stormy beginning, the pair form a deep bond. But when a force of darkness threatens both the human and imaginary worlds, their chance encounter becomes the ultimate test of strength, courage and friendship.

Top notch animation - The Boy and the Beast review by UT
More action packed and (mildly) violent that the average Ghibli movie. Has humour, action, sadness and several positive messages dealt with in a light-handed manner. Should particularly resonate with children/teens and parents. 4/5 because the third act is a bit of a let down.
