Synopsis:
America. Liberty. Freedom. Candidates Cam Brady (Will Ferrell) and Marty Huggins (Zach Galifianakis) care about none of these as they race for the North Carolina congressional seat in this "laugh-out-loud" comedy. When four-term incumbent Brady finds himself involved in a scandal, the wealthy powers that be decide to back newcomer Huggins as their pawn against him. As voting day approaches, the two literally pull no punches in the dirtiest and funniest political fight of all time... or at least until the next election.

Interesting to see things from a Republican PoV! - The Campaign review by BS

Spoiler Alert
31/10/2013

It is always slightly surprising when a US film takes a Republican angle. In this case, it didn't really add anything to the film, but neither was it in your face.

Apart from that, it was a standard US comedy of the Will Ferrell type. Both characters are amiably rotten, and both kind of redeem themselves. It was funny in a base, unsophisticated way. You don't feel cheated of the time you spent watching it, but you do kind of regret you weren't watching something a bit better.
