The Chi-Lites are a Chicago-based smooth soul vocal quartet from the 1960s and 1970s. Originally called the Hi-Lites, they consisted of Marshall Thompson, Creadel "Red" Jones, Eugene Record, Robert Lester and Clarence Johnson. After a period of time, Eugene Record emerged as the frontman and the group scored eleven Top Ten R&B hits in the early part of the decade.
