Synopsis:
The Cleveland Orchestra performs five of Bruckner's symphonies, all conducted by Franz Welser-Möst, at a series of concerts in Austria and America from 2006 to 2012. In the first concert, performed at the Stiftsbasilika St. Florian in Austria in 2012, the orchestra performs 'Symphony No. 4 in E Flat Major', the 1888 version arranged by Benjamin Korstvedt. In the second concert, again at the Stiftsbasilika St. Florian in 2006, the orchestra gives a recital of 'Symphony No. 5 in B Flat Major'. The third concert is held at Cleveland's Severance Hall in 2008 and sees a performance of 'Symphony No. 7 in E Major'. In the fourth concert, again at Severance Hall in 2010, the orchestra perform 'Symphony No. 8 in C Minor', the 1887 version arranged by Leopold Nowak. Finally, the fifth concert is from 2007 at the Wiener Musikverein and sees a performance of 'Symphony No. 9 in D Minor'.
