- The Comeback is an American comedy/drama TV series that depicts a once well-known actress named Valerie Cherish’s (played by Lisa Kudrow) attempt to reignite her acting career with a footage from her everyday life molded into a documentary format. The show throws a satiric look on the reality TV industry as a whole, criticizing the way of life some of these participating actors follow, with self-referential nods of parody scattered all throughout.
