"The Day After Tomorrow" is a rarely-seen telemovie pilot that spanned the production of Space: 1999. This video includes the original movie pilot restored in high definition from the best available master material, restored soundtrack, plus a wealth of unseen bonus features. The crew of the lightship Altares, on a mission to discover a new home for humankind, lose control of the craft after it is hit by a meteor shower. With the propulsion system damaged, the crew are left with only their mission of discovery - and no way to return home. Originally created as a TV pilot, this 47min feature is a rare gem in the universe of creator Gerry Anderson. Produced in 1975 between the two series of 'Space: 1999', it marks a high point in live action sci-fi.
