- Synopsis:
- The film is about the life of a mixed Jewish-Czech family in pre-war and war years. Ota Pavel embodied himself in the figure od a little boy nicknamed Ass. In the sun-drenched region near river Berounka his father and uncle Prosek teach him to fish. Boy also learns many important things about life. Then comes the tragic moment of the occupation and the family has suddenly more problems than ever thought.
