- Elizabeth Hunter (Charlotte Rampling) is a mother not to be reckoned with after a lifetime of ruling her family with an iron fist. Struck down by a stroke her son and daughter (Oscar Award Winner Geoffrey Rush and Academy Award nominee Judy Davis) fly across the world to be at her bedside but rather than comfort and care, old family frictions are brought brutally to the surface. A family torn apart, "The Eye of the Storm", based on Nobel Laureate Patrick White's novel, is a beautiful portrayal of heart aching turmoil, with a stellar cast that teaches us that to forget is not always possible but to forgive is incredible.
