One invention more then any other revolutionised tractors and changed the face of agriculture in the 20th century - the three-point linkage and hydraulic lift. It was invented by Irishman Harry Ferguson and became known thereafter as The Ferguson System. The creator and his system are the focus for this enlightening programme. In order to demonstrate the vast range of Ferguson-Browns, Ford-Fergusons, TE20 derivatives and Massey Fergusons, Second Sight were privileged to have access to the world famous 'Hunday Collection' compiled by John Moffitt and now owned by Paul Rackham. Located in Norfolk, many examples from this extensive collection of over forty tractors are filmed working in the surrounding fields. Interviews with John Moffitt, Paul Rackham and restorer, Ivan Cowlen add personal and technical interest, which along with original archive footage and some real gems, make this an exhilarating programme to watch. Presented by Emmerdale and Heartbeat actor Stewart Howson, a self confessed Ferguson fanatic, the programme features not only these wonderful tractors both static and at work, but also over one hundred superbly restored Ferguson implements. This is without doubt a genuinely comprehensive account and lasting tribute to a man with amazing foresight and brilliance who devised a system that is now an integral part of tractor design in the 21st century - the great Harry Ferguson!
