Synopsis:: John Neville and Susan Hampshire star in this wonderful dramatisation of the lives of John Churchill, the first Duke of Marlborough and his wife Sarah.
When John proved to the Queen that he was indeed a fine commander, following a string of victories, she made him Duke of Marlborough. Sadly, Sarah was treated with cold disdain by Her Majesty. The Queen's health and vulnerability led her to distrust John which brought major changes to the Churchills' lives.
