Synopsis:
In 1957 Timex sponsored a series of TV Variety Show Specials starring Frank Sinatra broadcast on The ABC Television Network. This show was taped on February 15, 1960, the occasion is Harold Arlen's birthday and the special guest star Lena Horne not only sings songs such as "Ring The Bell", but also duets with Frank Sinatra for a medley of Harold Arlen songs. Four other famous ladies feature in the show, opera singer Mary Costa, comedienne Barbara Heller, former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt, and dancer Juliet Prowse fresh from her screen success opposite Frank Sinatra in Cole Porter's "Can Can". This programme, remastered from the archive tape of the broadcast, is the complete original show including the sponsors promotional segments. Whilst the quality of reproduction may not meet modern technological standards, it is a rare record of two of the most popular performers of the Twentieth Century performing together.
