Armoured fighting vehicles were the backbone of the army units. They were the centre of all combat missions. Medium and heavy German battle tanks were in the main battle lines and fought with a numerically superior opponent. For the Infantry, the armoured units were welcome brothers in arms. Through their immense firepower and combat strength, they could give the ground troops a well earned break. This video deals largely with the theme Armoured Forces, Tanks and Infantry Units. In addition to numerous archive films clips, the documentary uses previously unpublished film material of armoured fighting vehicles of the Armed Forces.
