- Synopsis:
- The film is set in 1972. Jacqueline (Joanna Ward) is 13 years old and a talented athlete in a Leicester school preparing for an athletics meet in a months time. She wants to become an adult before the meet, having difficulties in relationships with her single mother Vivienne (Amanda Mealing), who refuses to show her daughter a photo of her black father and has problems committing to her lover Vic (Richard Bremmer).
