- Synopsis:
- Mario Monicelli directs this comedy-drama about a Sicilian woman, Assunta Patanè (Monica Vitti), who after being kidnapped by mistake by a Sicilian gang and "dishonored" by the gang's leader, Vincenzo Macaluso (Carlo Giuffrè), travels to England with a pistol intending to murder him. Stanley Baker (A Hill in Korea; Zulu; Robbery) co-stars as an English doctor who tries to help her, and the supporting cast includes; Corin Redgrave, Stefano Satta Flores and Anthony Booth.
