- The Good Wife is an American legal drama series. Following the arrest and sentencing of her husband, a former Cook County state’s attorney, Alicia Florrick (Julianna Margulies) returns to work as a litigator in order to support her two children. In this award winning drama, Florrick, whose husband has been jailed following a high profile sex and corruption scandal, has been a housewife for the past 13 years. Returning to work she finds the cut throat world of law and the society she now moves in more intimidating than any crime.
