I entered the room when this was on, not knowing someone had decided to watch it... I almost literally peed myself. Throughout the movie, I was regularly hiding behind cushions and to be honest, while I am no hard nut, I have not been so spooked by a film in years. Definately worth watching... Not scary in the sick, psychotic way, just a good story with lots and lots of jumping going on!
it was a good horror film although the film was not what i expected to see i would watch it again in the near future
Ever since Robert Wise directed The Haunting, the benchmark for the haunted house genre was set. Sadly most films have failed since, with directors failing to cultivate any sense of fear or loathing. Here we have another Amityville wannabe, again based on so called true events. While the facts are open for the debate the quality of this film is obvious. Cornwell relies on special effects rather than skill, turning this film into an extended episode of the X-Files, as the kids solve the mystery. Elias Koteas is excellent and the only reason to watch this poor effort.
