As Supreme Allied Commander in Europe, Dwight D Eisenhower played a hugely significant role in World War II. He was responsible for planning and carrying out the Allied assault on Normandy, later known as the D-Day Landings, which turned out to be the beginning of the end of the war. A compelling character, Eisenhower went on to become the 34th President of the United States of America. This film tells his story.
