Synopsis:
The ITV Sessions, Spandau Ballet: Live in concert DVD, is one of the first titles released from the ITV Sessions, a multi-part music concert series, featuring some of the biggest names in the UK music scene from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The ITV Sessions feature rare and previously unavailable music concerts, long laying dormant in ITV¿s archives and include live performances and studio sessions by international hit-makers such as Status Quo, Belinda Carlisle, Pulp, Motorhead, Wishbone Ash, Spandau Ballet and many more. This DVD boxset shows rare footage of their last gig at the NEC before the band split. This previously unavailable extended version is an invaluable addition to your collection. Formed in London in the late 1970s, Spandau Ballet was initially inspired by the New Romantic fashion and their music has featured a mixture of funk, jazz, soul and synthpop. They were one of the most successful bands of the 1980s, achieving ten Top Ten singles and four Top Ten albums in the UK between 1980 and 1990. The band split in 1990 but announced their reunion in March 2009, complete with a tour that began in October 2009.
