Synopsis:
The ITV Sessions: Wishbone Ash - Live In Concert DVD, is one of the first titles released from the ITV Sessions, a multi-part music concert series, featuring some of the biggest names in the UK music scene from the 70s, 80s and 90s. The ITV Sessions feature rare and previously unavailable music concerts, long laying dormant in ITVs archives and include live performances and studio sessions by international hit-makers such as Status Quo, Belinda Carlisle, Pulp, Motorhead, Wishbone Ash, Spandau Ballet and many more. Wishbone Ash achieved success in the early and mid-1970s. Their popular records included Wishbone Ash (1970), Argus (1972), There's the Rub (1974), and New England (1976). They were one of the first of many rock bands to come who used twin lead guitars. Their contributions helped in Powell and Turner being voted Two Of The Ten Most Important Guitarists In Rock History (Traffic magazine 1989), and part of the Top 20 Guitarists Of All Time (Rolling Stone). Melody Maker (1972) described Ted Turner and Andy Powell as the most interesting two guitar team since the days when Beck and Page graced The Yardbirds.
