- Synopsis:
- Hans Muller (Kirk Douglas), locked up in a Nazi concentration camp during World War II, is now emigrating to Israel to start a new life. Hans, however, fails to overcome his psychological trauma of war; Nightmares and unpleasant memories lurk in every corner. Because of his upset mind and his traumas he attacks a policeman and becomes a confused and unstable fugitive. Together with a young orphan who seeks peace of mind, Hans will travel all Israel while fleeing justice.
