- The Lakes is a British drama series about Danny Kavanagh who leaves Liverpool for the Lake District, finding work at a hotel and love with a local girl named Emma. Yet Danny remains an outsider in the close-knit community, and when shocking and often dark situations occur Danny finds himself even more at odds with the villagers.
