- American Civil War drama based on the true story of a tough Southern captain torn by his love for a Northern girl. Written by the descendents of the main protagonists and starring Julian Adams as his great-great grandfather Captain Robert Adams, the film tells the story of Robert's love for Northern girl Eveline McCord (Gwendoline Edwards). For all that Robert fires up his men to fight for their lands and for their beliefs, his romantic entanglement with Eveline brings home the trauma and divisions of civil war every bit as much as the bloody series of battles he wades through.
