- Synopsis:
- Live recording of Howard Davies's production of the stage comedy by Stephen Beresford for the National Theatre. Julie Walters stars as Judy Haussman, an aging bohemian dropout rattling around in her crumbling Art Deco house on the Devon coast. After undergoing an operation, Judy is joined by her wayward offspring Nick (Rory Kinnear) and Libby (Helen McCrory) along with various other oddball hangers-on for an intense, booze-soaked summer, during which the many resentments and complexities of the past start to bubble up to the surface.
