This programme includes weapon assessment by: category (pointed, edged and blunt); range (close, long or projectile); angles of attack (stabbing, thrusting and slashing); positions and delivery (concealed and drawing, static and hold up, moving and frenzied); dealing with attacks in confined spaces and seated positions; disarming techniques against knifes, screwdrivers, sticks, baseball bats and guns; reaction drills for timing and reflexes; disabling techniques and how to use a knife against an armed attacker; and hostage and robbery scenarios.
