- The League is an American sitcom that premiered in 2009. Set in Chicago, the series is a semi-improvised comedy that follows a fantasy football league, and the everyday lives of its six members. Desperate to win, the group will do anything they can to gain points. Created by husband and wife team Jeff and Jackie Schaffer, its comedy-style has proven popular with audiences.
