Throughout the ages the quest for the Holy Grail has tantalised many explorers and researchers. It is a quest intertwined with our own British mythology bound within Celtic myths and the Legend of King Arthur, Merlin and the Knights of the Round Table. Was it the chalice from which Jesus drank at the Last supper? Or was it the cup in which Joseph of Arimathea captured Jesus' blood as he died on the cross? Or perhaps, as outlined in Dan Brown's best selling novel "The Da Vinci Code", the earthly remains of Mary Magdalene and documents pertaining to the "true" story of Jesus. 'The Story of the Grail' and the quest to find it seems to have become more popular in the 20th Century. Numerous books have been written about it, including Brown's; Hitler had a whole squad of SS, under the leadership of Heinrich Himmler, searching for it; and Hollywood embraced it with several films including "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade". This set explores the mystery of the Grail over the centuries, and attempts to establish the truth from the fiction, from Arthurian times, the Knights Templar and Adolf Hitler in the Second World War.
