- Synopsis:
- After Taki's death, his nephew Takeshi (Satoshi Tsumabuki) discovers a memoir written by the old woman. Thus he learns that, as a young man, he worked as a maid for the Hirai in a little house with a red roof in Tokyo. Masaki Hirai (Takatarô Kataoka) is the father of the family and director of a major company. While he dreams of expanding his business, his wife Tokiko (Takako Matsu) falls in love with Shoji, whom he secretly visits. Taki (Haru Kuroki), the maid, protects Tokiko and takes care of the family, but soon she is forced to make a heartbreaking decision.
