Two archive documentary films looking at the Firth of Forth. 'The Long Span' (1964) is filmmaker Jim Hendry's profile of the Forth Road Bridge, following its construction from 1958 to its official opening by the Queen in 1964. 'Forth Islands' looks at the history of the often-ignored small islands in the Firth of Forth, which have played an important part in Scottish history and shelter many endagered species of wildlife today.
