In 1587, over 100 brave men and women set sail from Britain to establish the first English colony in the Americas. They landed on Roanoke Island off the coast of Virginia, built a settlement and planted crops. Then they disappeared - without a trace. Adrian Paul stars in this pulse-pounding, sci-fi/horror film inspired by this most tantalizing of unsolved mysteries. Shortly after their arrival on the island members of the colony begin to die in horrible ways. Ananis Dare, the acting Governor, (Adrian Paul) desperately tries to uncover the truth about the hideous killings while the colonists build a defensive fortification to protect themselves through the long winter months. Finally after piecing together half remembered Norse legends and local Native American tales he realizes that the spirits of three Viking witches or Wraiths are ensnared on the island along with the colonists. Can he find a way to end the siege and survive the winter when even the forest itself is controlled by the Wraiths...? - Actors:
