Classic 70's animated series created by BAFTA/Emmy winning Cosgrove Hall productions. Anyone who was a child in the 70's will instantly recognize the music,the concept or the voiceover of The Magic Ball - delivered in the dulcet tones of Eric Thompson - also the voice of Playschool and Magic Roundabout. The Magic Ball is all about a little boy called Sam who lived in a seaside town called Haythornethwaite. His grandparents owned a curio shop,which held a never-ending fascination for Sam. The thing is that he had a magic ball he carried around with him everywhere and,while he would stare,dreamily about a certain item,the magic ball would fire up and take him on a magic adventure. These almost always contained knights,dragons,maidens,Eskimos,red Indians or lions. - Directors:
