Synopsis:
The band formed in 1984 and were soon going down a storm on the Folk circuit, they were eventually signed to Demon Records by Elvis Costello, and released a cover of "Green Fields Of France" which became a big hit on the alternative chart. As each release heightened their profile, the band went on to record for several labels, including MCA and Silvertone, and became a major draw on the live circuit. The band split in 1991, but reformed a few years later to begin touring and recording again.
