The cranky, very ambitious pianist Andi (Matthias Schweighöfer) and the artist Benno (Florian David Fitz) have only one thing in common: They will die soon - and therefore end up in the hospice, which quickly turns out to be a suboptimal last life station. So they decide to enjoy the hottest day of their lives: Because of their very limited life expectancy, they do not have to worry about jail, so they travel to Africa with staggering money. But the trip is a nightmare for the hypochondriac Andi in the beginning and also a big challenge for Benno as he has to face his past for the first time. About funny, tragic, dramatic and dangerous stages, the adventure finally leads to their ultimate goal - namely to the realization that you have to take your own life in hand, so as not to miss it.
