St Andrews has every right to call itself the home of golf. The game has been played for centuries there, on a course shaped by the forces of nature that transformed the dunes into unique and unusual shapes, indifferent then as now to the vanities of mankind. In 1764 the Society of St Andrews Golfers combined some of the holes and formed the 18 hole course, which, although adjusted slightly by Old Tom Morris, is the same today. Allowed unique access, cameras explore the course, the people who run it and visitors who flock from as far as Japan and Australia to play on one of the world's most unpredictable courses. Some have spent $10,000 to be here at the Old Course. Will they get round in less than the magic 100? The answer and much more is revealed in this fascinating documentary, written and presented by Tom Morton.
