Synopsis:
Life in one of the poorest villages in Hungary. Filmed over six months, in Hungarian with English subtitles, this documentary follows three families in the village of Told. Isolation, poverty and discrimination against Roma make it hard for them to live decent lives. They face the threats of running out of food, their houses collapsing and their children being taken into care. Hope is hard to find and the children suffer as well as the adults. Solutions are not simple or easy and the local services struggle to find ways to help people out of their desperate plights.
