Join Wellington (voice of Sheila Steafel), Marlon (voice of Peter Hawkins), Maisie (voice of Judy Bennett), and Baby Grumpling (also voice of Judy Bennett) - along with their loyal canine companions, BH (also voice of Peter Hawkins) and Boot (voice of Leonard Rossiter) - as they navigate the wonders and challenges of childhood. Together, they embark on exciting adventures in their neighbourhood, experiencing life's ups and downs with humour and heart. 'The Perishers' first appeared in British culture as a daily comic strip in 'The Daily Mirror' in 1959, written by Maurice Dodd and illustrated by Dennis Collins. In 1979, the beloved strip was brought to the small screen by FilmFair, the animation company behind British classics such as 'The Wombles' and 'Paddington'. The animated series featured Boot the dog, voiced by the fabulous Leonard Rossiter, whose performance perfectly set the tone for the show.
