The Phantom Honeymoon (1919)

Professor Tidewater (Leon Dadmun), whose hobby is debunking fanciful ghost stories, has come to the secluded English country to visit Castle Benmore to investigate a local ghostly legend. Sakee (Harry Guy Carleton) an old Indian manservant relays the chilling tale of the lovers Bob Lambert (Vernon Steel) and Betty Truesdale (Margaret Marsh) and of his jealous master James R. Claven (Hal Clarendon) who could not abide their happiness. A night in the old castle may just be enough to make even a dedicated skeptic like Professor Tidewater believe in ghosts.
