The Year is 1650, the setting is London, the tale is a classic story of good versus evil, with a mixture of songs, humour and a collection of colourful characters that combine to make a fantastic feature for all the family.
Tom Canty is a pauper boy, who loves northing better than pretending to be a prince. Edward is the Prince of England, heir to the throne, who spends his life dreaming about being a normal boy and playing with the children he sees outside.
An extraordinary turn of events brings the two boys together and they make each others' wishes come true by swapping identities for one day.
So begins this gripping tale. The boys fool everyone, including their own fathers. Only Edgar the loyal royal falcon knows the truth and it is up to him to help them save the throne from the evil Lord Hartford, but can he overcome his fear of flying in order to save the day?
Tom learns that life isn't always easy for a prince and Edward discovers that life outside the palace is hard for his subjects. The boys learn valuable lessons but can they, with the help of Tom's sister Sasha, a brave soldier, Miles Hendon and, of course, Edgar, stop Hartford in his tracks?
