The Real Godfathers: Frank Costello (2005)

Part of the documentary series examining the lives and careers of some of the most notorious gangsters in history. This volume looks at the life of Frank Costello, the so-called 'Prime Minister of the Underworld' who inherited Lucky Luciano's crime family following the latter's imprisonment. Costello was different from the men under his command though, in that he always resented his crime roots and was desperate to become a genuinely legitimate businessman. This documentary includes rare footage and interviews to illuminate his shadowy, reluctant career.
