Martin (Wayne Lamont Sims), an African-American artist lives in up-state New York with Jeannette (Pamela Stewart) a successful French Writer. They live a simplistic yet idyllic life, to their neighbours they appear as the perfect romantic couple. But appearances can be deceptive. It is mid-winter, their beautiful country is covered with snow and this picture postcard paradise is shattered by the unannounced arrival of Jeannette's daughter Sierra (Maggie Burkwit) with her new husband, Andrew (Darien Sills-Evans). But this is a marriage of convenience, Sierra is due an inheritance from her late grandmother that can only be accessed once she marries. The plan is for the newlyweds to stay just long enough for Sierra to get her money and then leave, but Jeanette throws a spanner in the works when she announces a wedding reception for the blushing bride. Secrets and lies are slowly revealed by this impromptu celebration.
