Synopsis:: Hélène (Sharon Gurney) once had an affair with the indomitable and proud Tamara (Françoise Brion), who has since become her mother-in-law. Torn between the remains of a badly extinguished passion and the disappointment of having seen Tamara accept the bourgeoisie satisfied with her father, Hélène wanders in this stifling environment that she loathes. To heal his popularity with voters, Noris (Christian Barbier) brought Jean Gerfaud (Maurice Ronet), renowned director, from Paris to stage "Tartuffe". Tamara, who flirts with the newcomer, is overtaken by Hélène, who offers herself to Gerfaud...
