Lizzie Hunt has served her time... ten long years for the violent murder of her husband David during an alcoholic blackout. However, Lizzie remembers nothing about that night whatsoever. Free at last, Lizzie returns to her Irish hometown only to discover that people are not willing to forgive and forget or to help her make a fresh start. An old flame, a local police officer, is the only person who holds out an olive branch to Lizzie, and as their relationship rekindles he helps her to rebuild her shattered life... It is harder on the outside than Lizzie ever imagined and fighting her desire for a drink becomes increasingly difficult when a chance meeting with her son Jimmy leaves her in no doubt about his hatred for her. Determined to face her demons and to forge a relationship with her son, Lizzie begins to have flashbacks of the fateful night on which her husband was killed and she begins to question whether she really is guilty of murder... - Actors:
