When the Great War ended in 1918, Germany lost more than just its pride. Stripped of its military, its industrial wealth and much of its territory, the Fatherland fell into its darkest era. For the people, all seemed to be lost, then a new voice began to be heard, the voice of Adolf Hitler. Promising a new beginning for Germany, popularity for their Fuehrer grew rapidly, as did the treachery, deceit, and horrific violence his Nazi Party brought on anyone who got in the way.
